It is almost here. The National Park Service issued its first forecast for the season on March 2. They predict that the cherry blossoms will reach peak bloom sometime during the period of March 31 to April 3. That’s earlier than the April 4 historical average and significantly earlier than we’ve seen in the past few years. The actual festival runs from March 20 to April 17, 2016 with the parade being held on April 16.
