At the Christie’s Magnificent Jewels auction in Geneva on May 18, bidding was spectacular. The historic Oppenheimer Blue Diamond was up for sale the first time ever. The diamond sold in 25 minutes – a record time for a record-setting amount for any jewel sold at auction — for a whopping $57,541,779.
